The best way is to have your prescriber help you with the tapering off. That person can tell you how to go about it so you won't experience withdrawal symptoms which can be very uncomfortable.

Dear Craig,
I would speak with your doctor as he/she knows the best way to taper off for your body weight, tolerance and dosage. Everyone's body responds differently to zyprexa. Your doctor knows how you have responded to the drug and should be able to safely help you detox from it. Good Luck. Slick399 ![]() |

Talk to your Dr. I tried to stop one of my meds once on my own and the results were not good. Good luck.

Coz it's not dependentive drug, I don't see any reason, why you can't stop it now. I was on the dose 20 mg and without a problem I stop it and started eat Abilify (30 mg).
