I have been on 100mg of Zoloft and Xanax as needed for anxiety/panic/PTSD since Dec. 2008. Really havent had major side effects, except for the start... and this is typical. Now a week ago I was prescribed 500mg of Augmentin twice a day, for a very serious infection. And yes, for the first time in my life had a reaction.. rash, headache, nausia, dizziness, lump in my throat and a tight feeling around my throat. Could this be due to the new medications I am taking? I do have a lot of food and bug bite allergies. Thanks

Sounds like you are seriously allergic to the new medication. You need to let your doctor know as soon as possible, or go to the ER. My niece, my mother, and my husband are allergic to certain antibiotics. If you haven't had any problems with the zoloft and xanax, it has to be the new medication. Take care of yourself. Let me know what happens.

Yep.. they swapped me to Keflex 500 mg twice a day. A lot of people with penicilling allergy can supposingly take this... but there is still a 10% chance of a reaction... let hope this stuff works
