I am confused. This is my second round of Fluoxetine. I take 10 mg. I take it during extreme stress. But now I have a different pdoc.

The pdoc who prescribed it to me for the first time told me to take it in the morning or else it would worsen my insomnia.

This new pdoc says that thanks to the long half life, it does not matter.

The thing is, I sometimes forget to take AM meds. In the AM, I take Fluoxetine and a couple supplements. I can just as well take those supplements at bedtime.

I cannot forget my bedtime meds because I would not fall asleep then! So it is self-enforcing.

So I am thinking that if Prozac can be taken at night, I will just take all my meds and supplements at night.

And it is just 10 mg of Fluoxetine.

I take Lithium, Elavil, vit B complex, vit D3, Melatonin and a few other supplements. So I wonder if all of it can be taken in one fell swoop.

It really doesn't matter when you take it, as long as you take it at the same time every day.

It's got a long half-life and any 'activating' effects are pretty negligible after your brain adapts to it. In the beginning, you might feel 'activated' for 6-12 hours (most people do not at 10mg) for a few weeks but it sounds like you are past that point and it won't cause insomnia.

Some people even get drowsy on it, so there are diverse reactions.

It didn't cause me any sleeping problems and I take all my meds at night except for the ones I take twice a day.
