I am just curious: Sometimes I will be going along just fine, forget to take my meds till after the lights are out and I'm all comfy, and just say "forget it, one missed dose won't hurt anything" -- and then I am brutally depressed the entire next day and sometimes longer.
Anybody else go through this, or is it just my already-crazy mind playing tricks on me? I used to get sick as a dog if I missed one dose of Effexor -- chills, extreme fatigue, nausea, dizziness, etc etc -- but that's not too uncommon from what I've heard about Effexor. I just don't know that much about Zoloft, still being relatively new to it. TY ![]() |

The drugs all run together for me I’ve tried so many of them, but I don’t believe any of them is that fast acting. Most take weeks to begin working and stay in your system quite a while after you’ve stopped. I know if I missed a dose of Effexor (and by miss I mean not take it generally around the same time every day) I’d get HORRIBLE brain zaps. But I don’t recall having any side effects when taking Zoloft and forgetting to take my meds on time.

Hi lenjan,
I take zoloft and had a huge crash of depression a few months ago because I forgot to take my meds a couple of times. I don't even think it was two days in a row, but maybe once or twice in a week spaced out. So, to answer your question, yeah...everyone is different and my body seems to react both to missed doses or when I have to titrate up and take a little more. It's rough. I am trying really hard not to miss any meds now because I am afraid of what happens to me.
