I'm looking for information about prescription assistance plans.
I suffer with severe depression. While hospitalized, I was recently prescribed Abilify to add to the 200 mg of Zoloft I take daily. Zoloft worked for me for years - to an extent. But the last three years it's worked less and less even after increasing the dose. I tried a Zoloft/Welbutrin combo to no avail. I also take Klonopin (Clonazepam) for anxiety. I've been unemployed for 2 years. My unemployment extensions have run out. I own my own home. But, of course, have no income, no retirement, no savings, etc. No prescription coverage - other than Walgreens drug plan to save a couple bucks...literally a couple. So, I'm looking for information (or more to the point, personal experiences): Specifically, (1) personal experiences - good and/or bad (2) how long will they provide medication (3) concerns about privacy issues (since you sign giving them access to your medical records - in the fine print) (4) ease/difficulty of program use (5) are there requirements after the initial application (6) can you participate in more than one program (to cover different medications) (7) how quickly are applications processed (8) are refills filled in timely manner Please be sure to include the name of the plan you are commenting about. Please do not send links to the plans. I know where they are located on the Web. I'm looking for the information the Web sites do not share! I'm looking for the good, the bad and the ugly. Thank you very much for your time and assistance! ![]() |
