Okay... in the past (2 years ago) I was on Seroquel... don't remember the dosage, or all of the other meds I was on at that time... but my moods levelled out, and it most definately put me to sleep at night. One of the reasons that I went off of it was the amount of time it took for the fog to lift. Now, I'm on Seroquel XR alone. The first 4 nights, I took the old school regular release... had some issues with sleep on two of those nights. Now, I'm taking 300 mg at 7:00, per doctors orders. I don't fall asleep (I don't even get tied) til between 1:00 and 3:00 a.m. Saturday, I honestly didn't calm down enough to attempt sleep til 11:00 SUNDAY NIGHT. I was dianosed being BP Mixed and BPD. My moods aren't levelling out... if anything, they're getting worse. Anxiety and irritability can go from non-existent to ugly/scary in the blink of an eye, it seems. My general mood goes the gamut as well... it seems to be worse. Has anyone else had this exprience? I called the pharmacy... they told me to contact the doc. Its after hours, and I really don't know when I'll be able to get in (appt on 6/30... I don't want to wait that long) Help?

I am currently on Seroquel XR and I found that it took a while before it made little difference. I started at 200mg and now taking 400mg. Doc is going to increase to 600mg in a couple of weeks and add lithium. Talk to you doctor and let them know how you are feeling. My moods are still up and down but they are not as severe as they use to be. Hope things work out.
