having a rough time. How do i get pdoc to prescribe me some anti anxiety meds without her thinking i just trying to get benzo. I think benzo would help temporarily but i'l take anything that can help. I'm afraid. Help.

You just need to talk honestly to your pdoc about what you are feeling. If she feels you need additional medication, she'll prescribe it. No need to be afraid. That's what our pdocs are there for.

I agree. Just tell her that you are just too anxious/panicky right now to deal well with life and feel like you need something additional to help during the really bad times.

Hey cyrstalrose. Most psychiatrists can tell if a person needs or wants anti-anxiety meds. Don't be afraid to ask. I know how you feel. When I first needed xanax for my anxiety, I was so nervous to ask the family doc. Here in my county if you go in to the docs office and tell them you have panic attacks or are in pain and need pain meds, they do a urine drug test on you. It's awful
