pnurse has me keep upping it. thought i was supposed to be on 25 mg whole time. but the rx that she requested when it came to that was 25, then 50, then 75, now 100. i am having problems being at 100. I'm not BP, but because i have alters that swap in and out with triggers (and thus mood changes) she put me on this to get me to baseline - which is really making me "empty". I've been at 100 for nearly the rx'ed 10 days (i think...time and I aren't doing really well). I am supposed to go to 200 @_@ on sat. but i talked with PN and we decided that I will stick with 75. to get the 100 in i have been taoking 2 at once which seems to really have a poor effect - so there is no way i want to take a 100 pill.
now on 100 (4 a day) my period was 6 days late. that made me nervous. The Lamictal website says "talk to your dr if you experience..... uncommon mood changes.... changes in menstral cycle." But PN thinks that is bs. ??? anyone?

Can't say I had that problem with lamictal. Don't know what to tell you. You are still at a fairly low dose. 200 to 300mg is usually what most people end up on. (I was on 300mg). Other than the menstrual cycle, are you having any other side effects?

I remember feeling very flu-like when I first started lamictal. Aches and pains, headache, swollen glands. I was miserable. It did get better as my dose increased. I didn't have the manicky symptoms though. That would worry me more than anything. Jumping you from 100 to 200 isn't they way it's supposed to be done (not sure I'm understanding you). Lamictal should only be increased 25mg at a time.

night sweats and an unusual menstrual cycle can maybe mean hormonal changes.

but that still doesn't help me figure out this menstural cycle business. It's been steady at 26 days now for probably 6-8 months. and now this month, on the 100s, it is 6 days late. I am rarely ever more than 2 days late. and the night sweats which are totally new to me (ok i have had them before once or twice, but this is EVERY night now) I hate it. And i forgot to mention just how vacant i feel. inside. it is like i don't know who i am. I'm not BP so i am not supposed to get up to the 300 range. and when PN first started talking with me about it, she said she'd have me on 25. I had no idea this would be increasing. Why do i feel like i am constantly in the dark? Can I really be this confused where no one is making sense to me and i can't seem to make sense to anyone? PN, T... my dr..... omg am i even real???? ![]() ok i need to breathe and stop thinking for a while.
