I'm currently on tegretol, pristiq, and wellbutrin. I'm doing really, really well on this combination. (Lord knows we've tried them all.) Hopefully, this combo will continue to work for me. No side effects that I'm aware of.

I've been on just about everything. They all work for awhile. I rapid cycle and we just haven't found anything that has stopped that pattern. I've been on abilify. I had no problems with it. He just pulled me off of it once the tegretol seemed to kick in. There is no one "right" medication combination out there. We all respond differently to meds. Unfortunately, it can be a lot of trial and error until we find the best fit.

Colleen,

I have been on Abilify for about six years. It has really helped. I am also on Effexor (10 years) and Lithium (15 years). It took the doctor 32 different meds to find this great combination for me and five years of misery. I hear you about not feeling well for six months. Any other questions please feel free to PM me anytime.

Zyprexa worked well for me, but I gained about 15 pounds in two months so he changed to something else. Weight gain is the biggest problem with zyprexa. Just watch for it. Good luck to you.

Trazodone and Lamictal. My pdoc put me on trazodone because it would help me sleep as well as act as an antidepressant, but as you can see, not so effective at the moment, LOL.

welbutrin and zyprexa.... I eat the welbutrin like candy and the zyprexa makes me homicidal but I'm functional and that's all I care about.
