I am not real familar with this med. For financial reasons pdoc wants to replace the seroquel with hydroxyzine. I don't have psychosis; I take it to help my GAD/dysthymia symptoms.

Hydroxyzine is prescribed by many for anxiety. It's originally an anti-itch medication. I don't know how it works for anxiety specifically but it sure makes you sleepy!! The good thing about it for sure is it doesn't have the addictive component that xanax, ativan, and valium have.

Seroquel (Quetiapine) 100mg daily
