I've recently been started on Depakote 500mg morning and 500mg night and have read there is a risk of Depakote causing Pancreatitis..my only conern here is that I suffered with Pancreatitis in July last year after having Gallstones..I've had my gallbladder removed and no further problems, however I am concerned as to weather having Pancreatitis in the past might make me more likely to get it from taking Depakote...I didn't find out about this side effect until after I started taking them and getting an appointment with my Psych is really hard so I wonder if anyone here might be able to help put my mind at rest for now at least.

Take Care
