Lamictal takes a long time to work up to a therapeutic dose. I would imagine that your doc will probably keep you on your other meds until you're up to the right dose of the Lamictal. Typically takes about 6 weeks to get up to the right dose. I was on Lamictal for a while but didn't have great results with it (at the same time I didn't have bad results with it either). I'm on Lithium now. So I just kinda went in reverse order from you. Hope the switch goes well for you.
Thanks for this!
