I've been taking 200mg of seroquel for 2 years. The past week I decided to stop ( I know not the best idea). On my third day of not taking it I had the worst insomnia, I was hot - sweating profusely and then freezing cold. I felt nauseated and had muscle twitching. Has this ever happened to anyone else? It was awful. I ended up taking 100mg. And it seemed to help after awhile.

Please call your pdoc and get help with this. It is so dangerous to come of this medicine cold turkey.

I wish you the best.

Don't go off of seroquel without your pdoc's instructions.

I felt the same way. These are withdrawl symtoms of suddenly stopping without pdoc weaning you off. Why did you suddenly stop taking this med?

I just couldn't stand having to fight through the morning fog I was in any more. Getting up to go to work everyday was a struggle. I was late for work a lot. I know other people that their docs discontinued seroquel at the same dose-- so I didn't think it would be a big deal.
Wow was I wrong-- Thanks to all

Sometimes we have to learn by experience. You might also try taking it eariier in the evening so you can wake up on time.

o.kay, I hope you are doing well.

i have been taking about the same dose for the same time, and the few times i have missed a dose i have had trouble sleeping, but i have not missed repeated doses or started a withdrawal program yet.

Like others have said, it is good to research withdrawal usings books, doctors, the internet, and other resources.

i am in the process of researching withdrawal, and that is how i came across your post. i wish you luck.
