My therapist says this could be lethal, yet I continue to do it because I'm not sure I believe her... It just makes my buzz stronger.

Not really sure what you are looking for here. Are you looking for reassurance that this combo is okay?

Well, it makes sense that its dangerous as alcohol is a depressant (to the respiratory system) and so is xanax.

Hey ZennZ-we meet again--okay--isn't the Xanax enough to relieve the anxiety?

JMO-and having been ther- done that- it's a lethal combo---If the xanax isn't enough
(it only has a 3 and one half hour life--therefore queen of the benzos for addiction and tolerance) how about seeing the doc for a different med regime--a med "coctail"

an fugat about de booz? Booz will make you age prematurely, get fat, and really kill you, and others--can't live without a liver, and if you drive like that; you'll eventually kill yourself or others-----Please be safe? ((((((ZennnZ)))) theo

I have taken both at the same time, and it didn't seem to have any adverse effects.

BUT - you should not be drinking when on any psychiatric meds

Alcohol and meds dont go together. If you do the 2 then I would wonder if you have somewhere deep deep inside a desire to die.

I am sorry. You deserve to live.
