My pdoc put me on Seroquel last summer for sleep. It seems to have quit working after a year of working great. Pdoc and I up the dose and nothing. Do not know what the next step should be. Any suggestions?

Have you increased the dose to its max potential, or have you only increased it once? If you've put it up to the max and still feel nothing, then maybe you should consider trying another medication. I wish you the best of luck in figuring out the best option for you.

You could try another method for trying to sleep. Like Sonata or Ambien.

Seroquel is an antipsychotic medication. Why would any doctor put a patient on that crap to help them sleep? I think these doctors have lost their minds.

I wish you the best.

I thought so, thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I am on an antipsychotic (not Seroquel) and thought I remember reading somewhere that Seroquel was also one.

Sometimes a drug will have an "off lable use" like seroquel has a sedating effect so it is sometimes prescribed for that. It worked for me for a year. I will look into differt sleep meds that were suggested.
