Hi,

Ten days back my doctor added two new meds, Lamictal(Lamotrigine) 25mg twice daily and Stablon(Tianeptine) 12.5mg at night. Since then my condition has worsened and I have experienced the following:

1. Increase in racing thoughts, and feeling very speedy! I think this is what others call hypomania?

2. Tingling and soreness in teeth and gums at night.

I would like to know if anyone has felt increased mental stimulation and agitation, and dental problems with Lamictal and Stablon.

Thanks!
Hugs from:

I didn't have those with Lamictal. I haven't taken Stablon.

When I took Lamictal the tendons in my ankles were super sore.

Ok, not related to yours at all...but my side effect is definitely a weird one (I know it was the med, went away when I stopped taking it)...I am wondering if the med could possibly effect certain body parts and make them sore? Not sure how the med would pick WHICH body part, but just a thought.

And I did not have racing thoughts...it made me suicidal instead.

Anyway, I do hope you feel better soon.

Thanks! I've stopped the drug now,but still having toothache. Lamictal has an anticonvulsant nature and you'll find many side effects of it once you google it.
I guess it depends on the mechanism of the drug and on one's body..
I've had one root canal from depakote, don't want another one.
