Hi, I'm currently looking for an SSRI to add to topamax, (which I've been on for 4 weeks). I'm going in to the T this coming Tuesday, and I've done all of my drug research -- but I was hoping to get some personal references before I go in. Some key qualities that I'm looking for in an SSRI is one that can control anxiety, depression, and possibly OCD tendencies. Mainly, though, I just want to know what worked for you SSRI to Add to Topamax Thanks to all!

One of the most commonly prescribed SSRI's for anxiety, depression and mild OCD is Paxil CR. I was on it in tandem with Topamax, but I'm Bi-Polar and the Paxil just made me more manic (in higher doses - I was on 75mg/day), so I was taken off of it and put on Lithium.

Before the Paxil pooped out on me, it helped a great deal with my anxiety and depressive moments. I just happen to be resistant to SSRI's, so none of them work on me.

Hope this helps, and good luck!
