Hi, Sorry I have been off the site for so long; honestly, I just have not wanted to be on my computer very much and do most via my phone but that gets old too. :-(
I have been on Cymbalta 60mg for almost a year with NOOO side effects to speak of. Maybe a bit decreased libido. I tried the Seroquel a couple weeks ago and had awful headaches next day so I stopped per Pdoc. He wanted to try again so we did; h/a is better most the time but now here's the problem. I have so much pain from shoulders through wrists and thighs to almost toes I would go to the ER if I wasn't so stubborn. I know that the side effects list muscle and joint pain. I called my doc (yes Today) and he said it was because I was only taking 100mg and it wasn't the drug. (very defensive). He wants me to up the dose tonight and swears I will be better. I am in so much pain I dont think anyone could force those pills down my throat. Any suggestions. I did take some pain meds to try to offset the excrutiating pain I have but oxy didn't even work. Help Please !!!

Don't you just hate it when docs decide side effects don't exist? It's quite possible the side effects will change with an increase in dose. Hopefully the pain will go away.
I'm sorry I am not much help for you but I had to say something to someone posting from my hometown!

Hi, I don't think your doc was trying to say the side effects aren't real, I'm sure they are.
Seroquel is an 'odd' drug because there seem to be less side effects with higher doses. Think you prob have to get the 'theraputic' amount of the drug into your system so it can work properly. I've been on it for about 7 months, a smallish dose 4 times a day and a 4 times bigger dose at night (sorry to be cryptic, I'n don't know if we are allowed to post dosages here. Hope it has a more positive effect for you. Let us know how you get on. Splitz |
