I wish I could get better without meds

meds only mask symptoms and are not a long term solution or cure

I wish I could cure myself for good without meds

Hi Feary,

I understand exactly what you mean.

Meds can help you stay strong enough so that you can have the energy and capacity to heal.

It does not have to be forever.

If you were diabetic you would need to take insulin. You have chemical inbalance in your brain and that is why you needs meds. Try to look at it that way.

I understand. They are scary, but I wouldn't be alive without them.

I too second the idea that we need to have meds to help us.
The right ones will not cause you side effects, so you need to shop around and try something that works for you

I totally get where you are coming from. I guess through process of elimation you can look at your lifestyle, stress, sleep patterns, eating etc, but if the problems are still there counselling with meds may be required but that is always a discussion you should talk with treating physian.
