I would like to know is there a possibility of greater benefit (and/or efficacy) if you take Cogentin .5mg QID vs 1mg BID for akathisia?

Thanks,
Andy.

Cogentin doesn't help akathisia at all. My first pdoc gave it to me along with Haldol for tardive dyskinisa (and it don't help that, either). I ended up getting both. And I'm bipolar and shouldn't have been on haldol. Cogentin is more for Parkinson's disease I think. I took 1 mg. a day. It didn't do much for me.
