I have been on lexapro (5 mg) for 7 days and this is how I feel. I am also on 10 mg ambien, and .5 mg klonopin 3 -4 times a day.

dizzy
nauseous
joint pain
musle pain
body aches
neck pain
shoulder pain
trouble swallowing
more anxious
plugged ears
like I can't take a deep breath

How is this supposed to be helpful? This is worse than the depression.

I called the doctor (psychiatrist) and she said "Oh, stick with it".

Went to my own (medical) doctor. Said the stress I went through "reactivated my chronic fatigue".

I am 25 years old. This is unbelievable.

No idea this is what my life would turn into.

I have never been so miserable in my life and no one seems to be able to help me.

I wasn't able to continue with Lexapro, tremors and jaw pain were too much. Some folks though do really well on Lexapro.

My best friend does quite well on Zoloft, I myself had an extremely bad reaction to it.

Sometimes side effects do ease up on us with time, sometimes they are worth the positive benefits, sometimes not.

What does your medical doctor suggest? Am I reading you right, did she say that the stress of Lexapro side effects caused you more problems?

Good luck with all this, I know it can be frustrating. Many of us have to do lots of trial and error til we find what works for us.

Sarah

I'm on 10 mg of Lexapro and 300mg of Wellbutrin. When I was tried on 5mg Lexapro it did nothing. And I mean nothing. So far I don't have any side asffects from it except it keeps me awake....unlike most people. Sometimes it really is better to try something different. My doctor had tried me on Prozac and it made me soooooo sick and I was only taking 1/4 the dose I should have been. This is one of the situations were I would talk to your doctor and say this med is making everything so much worse for you, and ask if there was something else you could try.
