I read a post earlier where someone mentioned how hard it is to leave the house with all our medications. Even if you have a big purse, when you are on about 15 medications, you can't fit all those bottles in there. So, I wanted to share with y'all what I do. I carry these little clear bags I got from the drug store. They are called Ezy Dose Pill Pouch. I write the name of the med & dosage on the bags. I use two different pharmacies, and one of them the labels easily peel off the bottle. The ones that will peel off in one piece, I put the label on the bag. It makes things so much easier & I always have my meds on me. I only put 3 or 4 of each med in the bags in case my purse gets stolen or something. This way I have 15 little baggies that I just put in a pocket in my purse. The only problem I have thought of with doing things this way is if for some reason a cop ever searched me & saw the bags & think I am a drug dealer or something. That's why I try to put the pharmacy labels on as many of the bags I can. The ones without labels, I write the name of the med & dosage. I also always carry in my purse a little calendar book that lists all my meds & emergency medical info & I record what time I take each med every day. So, I could probably show them that & that may help. If I did ever find a cop that tried to arrest me or something, I could get verification from my doc that I do take all these meds & any charges would be thrown out. Not all the meds I keep in there are meds people tend to abuse. There is even OTC stuff like Tylenol & Immodium in there. I find that every time I dont have a med with me, it's just my luck that will be the one I need. I have tried the plastic pill containers & they just take up way too much room & will spill out. I hope this idea helps someone because it has really helped me be organized & always have my meds on me.....just keep an eye on your purse so nobody steals it.

ffgal; I keep my meds and vitamins in a pill organizer. I take meds twice a day, so I have one that is separated in AM and PM and has a compartment from Monday to Sunday. If someone takes meds more than once a day there are pill organizers for 4 times a day meds.
Here's a link to a website that sells the organizers, but you can get them at most pharmacy sections of the grocery store. http://well.ca/categories/pill-boxes...izers_513.html

I have to take pills in the middle of the day and I have a nice size red metal container that fits in your pocket or purse yet holds a lot of pills. I got it on line at forgetting the pill.com I think that's right. If not google it. They have a lot of nice pill bottles and organizers cheap.

My favorite organizer is a roundish one. It doesn't take up much space in my purse at all. Here is a pic of it:

I have a travel formula dispenser with three compartments in it. I used it for my kiddo's formula until she moved on to milk. Then I decided to use it for my pills!
