hello there. was wondering if anyone out there has ever been prescribed klonopin for tourette's syndrome. if so, did it make you really tired when first using it, and does that ever go away? it made me super tired last night taking .5 mg, then this morning i cut the pill in half to take .25mg now and then later on take other half, then at night take a full .5mg tab. also, has this been very effective at all for decreasing the tics? so far it is making me so tired, but also can tell the tics are a little less. will the drowsiness go away after taking it for a while?

Hi

I've never heard Klonopin used for Tourette's - but it has many investigational uses so it doe not surprise me. The sleepiness/drowsiness should go away in time. Take it with food to help minimize the sleepiness. If taken on an empty stomach it's more likely to hit you harder and cause sleepiness.

Hope this helps.
Jerry
