Family member prescribed Pristiq for depression/anxiety while going through cancer treatment. After taking it for 3 months, suddenly developed odd behaviors, such as memory loss symptoms, coordination difficulties, not recognizing hand was in a warm plate of food, not recognizing having only 1 shoe and sock on, not recognizing walking on freezing cold cement bare feet outside with no coat, and lots of other strange behavior. Doctors are blaming this on Pristiq and weaning off over a 2 week period.
Has anyone else heard of this occurring after being on for 3 months and showing great improve, net in mood? Symptoms starting drastically with waking up one day.

Doctors say no alzheimer's or stroke occurring. However I am still worried. Takes drug every other day now at night and sleeps most of the next day if she took it night before. Wasn't doing that when took every day.

Thanks
