I think I might be pregnant. I'm late but it's still too soon to take a test. What should I do about my medication? I know it would be hard raising a child but I wouldn't be able to give him or her up or abort them. I also don't want to hurt the child with my medication. It could cause birth defects or make me lose the baby. What should I do?

Are you sure the medications you are on would be an issue with the pregnancy? There are a lot of meds that are safe. I don't know if you have looked into yours, but I would suggest doing that and also talking to your pdoc.

Call your doc right away. They have fabulous PG tests now--can tell even before you miss a period or are late, I think. Then you will know, and you can let your doc help you decide what to take/not take, etc.

Good luck to you!
