Just a brief introduction in case you're wondering: I started out on Lamictal ODT 25mg, worked my way up to 100mg, and then was tapered off because my psychiatrist decided to leave me high and dry.

As of right now I am back on Lamotrigine @ 25mg (Made by Northstar Rx LLC) and I am starting on day 10. As of today I have started getting "Migraines" (Head wants to explode and I want to vomit), and so far I have gotten 2 "Migraines", this last time I took an Excedrin (2 Pills), and it is knocking my headache out slowly.

Is there anyone who has experienced these symptoms like I have? How long did you experience them? How was it treated?

Thank you!

When I started 50mg of Lamotrigine, I got the worst headaches of my life. What helped most was 1000mg of Tylenol and 800mg of ibuprofen, and also drinking Gatorade.

My headaches went away after a week and never came back the rest of the time I was on the lamotrigine.

Someone else just told me gatorade was good for migraines - all that tylenol and ibuprofen does nothing for me though .

I personally have not but I've heard that really bad headaches can definitely be a side effect. Hope you feel better
