I was prescribed Elavil the other day for the pain/sleep problems associated with fibromyalgia. It kept me awake and caused severe agitation most of the following day. Has anyone had this kind of result from taking it once? I'll have to call the doctor for a better idea I guess........

Definetely call your doctor! I've been on Elavil since 1986

All it suppose to do is make you sleepy & it's an antidepressant.

Normally for fibromyalgia, they prescribe gabapentin...ask!
