I think I am starting to go into mania, My Depakote levels for my liver were messing up, So my doctor started weening me off the depakote I was on 3000 milligrams a day and on friday I started weening down to 2000 and adding 200 milligrams tegratol a day and today is only sunday, Its been only a couple of days and I am not feeling right, I cant take lamictal, trileptal and I know this is in the same family, If any one has any advice please help me I dont want to end up in the hospital, Especially over the 4th of July

Hey, I wish I could help, but I just went through a nightmare getting off of Trileptal I had swelled up so bad could hardley walk pdoc wanted to change me to Tegratol and put me on diuretic for swelling I got so scared I just asked for directions on how to get off of medicine last day was this past friday and just in the past day or so I finally feel like I have my head back again I never want to go through that again will not go back to that Pdoc have to wait till Aug 30 for new Pdoc. I wish you the best on your journey sorry I was not much help......I would like to know what your Pdoc comes up with to help you.
