I haven been on both of these for awhile. Asked the Pdoc when are things supposed to get better...his responce is always, well you are on a low dose but, I don't thing it's a good time to increase. So why the hell am I paying to take drugs that don't help and tempt me to want to take more than I should?

Klonopin is meant to work immediately. Most people only use it on an ad hoc basis, as opposed to regularly.
Lexapro can take as long as 6 weeks |

I don't know about Lexapro, but klonopin should likely be taken at a regular basis through the day. It's a slow on/slow off drug that, that for some can take up to 4-8 hours to reach peak plasma concentrations. For some the effect of the drug is much sooner.
If it appears to not be working to control anxiety, then I would talk to the doc about dosing scheduling rather than upping the dose.

How long have you been on the Lexapro? I started noticing a change after 1 month but it took another month or 2 for it to help decrease my anger. Klonopin was a life saver for me. It really helped my anxiety immediately. I took 0.5mg twice a day for a month due to circumstances and now I take it as needed. It always does the trick for me.

I've been on it for about a month and 1/2. I haven't noticed any difference except that I keep crying at the drop of a hat! As for the kolonopin...I don't know if it is doing anything for the anxiety/depression but I'm able to get a few hours of sleep and makes me a zombie. I'm actually out of town and I've been crying everyday - I'm sure that my friend thinks that I've just totaly lost it!
My pdoc and t haven't returned any of my calls either...especially since one night I blacked out and fell down - all I remember is being on the floor. |
