My pdoc is thinking about putting me on this. He did switch my meds a tiny bit and told me to try that first and see what happens and if not we will try prestique. Does anyone have and experience with it? Any input? Does it help with anxiety?

I've never been on this medication. I just wanted to let you know that I think you spelled the drug name wrong. Correct me if I am accidentally made a mistake but I think the spelling is: Pristiq.

I was on it for a while when it first came out, and it worked, but my insurance wouldn't pay for it. I don't remember if it helped with anxiety though, but it did help with my depression.

I took it briefly, but it caused some problems for me and I didn't stay on it long. I TOLD the pdoc that I couldn't take Effexor, and evidently Pristiq is a mirror cousin to it, but the knothead insisted I try it.....

I'm sure some people take it and it works well for them. As far as I know, it only treats depression.
Thanks for this!

I am taking it for depression and it is working well. We did have to up my dose. It is not working for anxiety though. Pdoc is thinking about adding a med. for that.
