I recently went off Prozac and onto Effexor cr 75mg and I was wondering what side effects I should expect? I woke up this morning and my teeth hurt, does it cause "grinding" of teeth while sleeping? Could be a head cold and total coincidence , what's your experience?

Do you mean effexor xr?.....the time released one. I have been on for over eleven years and for me, no side effects that I know of.......oh one maybe for surgery...your blood is a little thinner......My Dr had a challenge when he did my hip surgery.....but nothing to worry about..........plus if you are prone to clots you sure would not get them with effexor...the drug has been my Godsend!!!

Yes I meant xr... I'm just going to go to the doctor and see if the teeth pain is sinus related or med related. Thank you

For the record, when i start on effexor again any time, the first two weeks give me constant YAWNS and yes, make me grind my teeth a bit and clench my jaw. It does go away with time though.
