I bring it up here because a couple of people on the forums have mentioned to me that they've had to give it to significant others.
Lovenox is a blood thinner. I have (probably had, by now, at least I hope the damn thing's dissolved) a blood clot in my left calf. I also have aplastic anemia and had a tremendous amount of uncontrolled bleeding throughout the acute phase of it. Anyway, Lovenox is a shot that goes in the stomach, roughly in an area 2 inches around the belly button. I am running out of room because I have so many damn bruises, even though I do it exactly as I was told/shown. Others said the same thing about it. I am wondering if there is a way around that? Just looking to hear others' experiences with the stuff. Thanks. Candy |

sorry candy, haven't heard of this one.
I'm still puzzled how you cope... thin blood and a blood clot? criminy! I do know when I had to take allergy shots (self inflicted ![]() TC (((gentle hugs)))

Well, I got the clot before they started thinning my blood. :-) I went into the hospital with 5000 platelets, blood's clotting agent. Normal is 50K or above. At 43K, they decided to get together and have a party in my left calf. :-)
I'll have to read the instructions again and see if I need to pull back on the plunger first. Thanks for the idea. C. |
