Mitrazapine is a nightmare for waking up been on it 6 weeks and it's good to use to get to sleep but when i need to get up before 10am for work i can't see much everything is blurred and i feel so tired all day even after 8 hours sleep. It's now effecting my work, not good.

Crazylife, when I was having trouble waking up in the morning because of the med, my pdoc suggested I take it earlier in the evening. That helped me.

Hmm, not sure there's really anything I can add...

Take it earlier, take a lower dose or try a different medication; not sure there is anything else to do.

actually, my experience with it has been if you take a higher dose, it actually makes me sleep less. I take half a pill versus a whole pill so I can sleep longer. it seems counterintuitive, but less really is more. talk to your doc.

Suki is right about a higher dose having fewer side effects. My pdoc told me the same thing. Crazylife, have you talked to your pdoc about the sleepiness?
