I'm almost positive my sister has been stealing my medication (celexa). She's been home the past two days as she is exempt from finals and I am not. She's had full access to my room and I have had lots of trouble with her stealing my things before and lying about it. Yesterday I distinctly remember having probably about 5 celexa tabs and tonight when I went into my closet to get my meds, I literally only had two. She knows I'm on anti-anxiety and depressant medication. She has a history of drug abuse, and she is really shy. It's really pissing me off actually. These are MY expensive medications for MY mental health issues, they legally belong to me and her use of them is completely illegal, not that she cares. I told my parents tonight and they told me to do a test... when I get my refill put about a weeks worth into one of my old bottles and count everyday how much I have in my normal bottle, see if anything continues to go missing. Whatever her reasons, it is not right and she needs to stay away! It doesn't even make any sense either considering celexa doesn't work right away and takes every day to kick in slowly. So her actions, in which she is unaware of how the drugs work, is completely useless anyway. Ugh.

I would lock them away too and not even mess around with seeing if she will try to take them again. It can harm her, will harm you if you run out, and is costly for you. There are lock boxes or small safes to help with this. The meds are too valuable to replace them; but even if you have insurance, they will replace them once or twice for "loss/theft" so that you can fill them before you supposedly are allowed to fill them again, but will not continue to do it. Protect everyone, lock them up.
