Cam, how are you friend?
First of all, I heard on psycho babble about some family probs you had- sorry to hear of this Cam. I really hope things turn out OK and your doing good. Just a couple of quick but urgent questions...I am just about to start 50mg Amisulpride. When I started Olanzapine 2.5mg nocte with 90mg Nardil, within a few days I notice a brilliant reaction: the Nardil kicked in brilliant- euphoria! However, as I raised my dose, one morning (about a month after starting Zyprexa, I became very depressed. I stopped Zyprexa and upped the Nardil to 120mg- made me more depressed. Finally, I gained relief from LOWERING Nardil down to 45mg and then raising back to 90mg. This happened again. I restarted olanzapine in the hopes of getting the great nardil feel. It didn't work a second time, and I kept it at 2.5mg nocte. One day I raised to 5mg- BANG! The next day I was depressed and had to lower Nardil and stop Zyprexa. A guy said this might have something to do with the upregulation of the receptor in response to 5HTa receptor blockade? I'm not sure- all I know is that the combo once worked OK, then stuffed up and then didn't really work and then stuffed up too! Although I must say 2.5mg Zyprexa worked very well for one of my OCD symptoms. So, Cam, do you think I'll have this prob with Amisulpride? As far as I know 50mg Amisulpride will act only on dopamine, and everyone seems to think it will work great with Nardil- Bring those great euphoric Nardil feelings back by added dopamine. Also it will help the OCD I believe. Thanks Cam- I really need an answer- starting soon. You rule! I love all your posts! Best Wishes buddy, Ace. |
