I don't know, but if you are particularly sensative to something all it could take is one dose.

You haven't poked/cut yourself on something dirty have you? Your symptoms are distubingly close to tetanus.
Thanks for this!

don't know about cutting myself on something dirty.
i seem fine this morning now though.
But i was actually inpatient when i brought this up to their attention and they said it was just anxiety... then it never went away.. for hours... and hours.... now tho.. seems to be okay.

Thanks everyone.
I just wanted to come back and give an update...
That stuff is gone and also the internal INTENSE restlessness is gone as well. The pdoc i was able to see today said it was part of a side effect with haldol. and it was still in my system during this time even though it has a life span of 5-6 hours it defenantely has lasted much longer in my system...
but all is good now..

The tense neck muscles can be a side effect of haldol ..I recently started on haldol 5mg and was warned it could happen ,, I was told to take bendryl and go to the er for a shot of cogentin (knock on wood I havent had trouble yet/ so far )

Definatly talk to your doctor asap about it .

I recently had a one off dose of haldol at the er for agitation. It was about 24hrs after the dose that I felt liked my jaw was locking with neck pain and it felt like my throat was closing in. it was extremely painful and scary. They gave me a dose which im pretty sure was IM cogentin and I felt fine after about 15 mins.
