I take risperidone as an adjunct to my antidepressants. I've been in a bit of a crisis in the past 2 weeks, so my pdoc and I have been discussing options to keep me out of the hospital. One of the things we both thought worth trying was upping my risperidone from 3 to 4 mg as that's worked well in the past. I'm now on the 4'th day of the higher dose, and I'm really starting to notice a difference. I have way more energy, I feel lighter, and I don't feel quite as self destructive.

The ironic thing is that until I had my implosion, I hadn't realized I was depressed - I just thought I was super stressed from everything going on in my life.

Wow - my increased risperidone dose is really working
Thanks for this!

YAY its always great to hear that a medication is working for people ...

I wasnt able to stay on risperidone because it caused me to Lactate LOL
Just more proof that meds react differently in everyone

Good luck and I hope the good days continue
