I am switching over my meds right now and can feel the effects. Loss of sleep, apatite, feel so down all the time, lots of crying etc. Hate this. Any tips on how to cope until it settles down? Really struggling.

I'm reducing my medication so instead of taking one every day i take one every three days (doctors orders) then i start my new ones. It's going to kill me.

Sorry you are feeling so bad. Please tell your doctor how you feel and see if they can do something to help you.
Switching over pills is difficult especially when you are changing types of drugs. You aren't going going to die hun. Hang in there. |

You should not be taking one every three days. Tapering down is different. For example, if I wanted to stop taking my Prozac, of which I take 80mg, for a week I would take 60mg, then 40mg for a week, then 20mg for another week before stopping. It's no wonder you're having withdrawal symptoms.

Follow what your doctor says. They are obviously doing this was for a reason. If you are still unsure call a chemist and check with them.
Think about what things will be like when you have changed over to this other type of medication. Scream yell and breathe. You will got through this. It suxs and its okay that it suxs. Embrace pain..... sounds weird but it works. |
