I am new to this site but I'm looking for other people who also take Geodon and are, or have had, very vivid and violent nightmares. Please help me...

I was on Geodon for about 4 months until I couldn't handle the side effects anymore, some of which had to do with my sleeping. I had tried several different things to help with the sleeping problems including writing down my dreams, talking about the dreams every day, various ways to relax before going to bed and those did help a little bit. Every person is different with reactions to meds though so don't base it off of my experience but maybe you could try doing things different before bed such as going an hour without any screens such as tv or computer (the light from the screens affects your sleep/wake pattern), I suggest reading a book or I like to write in a journal, a nighttime tea might also be a good thing to try just so that you can be relaxed when you finally decide to go to bed.
