would you take meds while pregnant and why or why not?

Yes I would take medication while pregnant. There are meds that show little risk to the fetus so I feel no issue taking them. My depression was horrible during all of my pregnancies so treatment has to happen.

Now a drug like Depakote , with a birth defect rate of 10 percent....I would really think long and hard about taking it during pregnancy. Switching to a safer med is usually advised if that is possible.
