What are the possible withdrawal symptoms from Lamictal?

I didn't think there were any symptoms if you are slowly weaning yourself off of the drug but I think your best bet would be to contact your doctor. I've been on lamictal for almost a year and it has helped me with my mixed episodes.

Based on what my last pdoc told me when I told him I was going off it, there are two big worries: rebound seizures even in non-epileptics, and The Rash. The Rash can apparently happen if you stop abruptly, too. The seizure risk is probably pretty low.

But the bottom line is that it's better to taper down, rather than to stop abruptly.

I got The Rash while taking Lamictal and they had to stop it immediately. I was hospitalized for a week, while they tried to get it under control. I was very very ill. Please be careful while on this med. The Rash isn't fun to get. It literally made me delirious and hallucinate.
