What is your understanding of this? Is it the same? How long after taking meds does it appear?
Does it go away after a while? Hours, days?

I have just started Epilim (again) and am on 1000mg and I feel like a zombie. Not sure how much value I'm adding @ work. Or if I should be driving

Hi. While I've never taken Epilim, I've at one time or another been on a variety of psychiatric meds, many of which have give me a "hangover" and/or produced "brain fog". In my view, the hangover feeling is when I have trouble getting up in the morning and feel out of it for a good portion of the morning and into the afternoon. This is what has happened with me on meds I have taken at night. I have been on Geodon for over two years now and it gave me a hangover for probably the first 3 to 6 months.

Brain fog for me is more the way I describe how I feel when I'm just not thinking straight and having trouble connecting the dots - kind of like "spacing out" randomly. This happens to me every once in a while, but it doesn't last too long. I think it's just the meds affecting memory, wherewithal, etc. However, the hangover feeling can also make me feel "foggy", so in a way they sort of go hand in hand.

Most meds that have these types of side effects will tend to get better with time, once the body has adjusted. Like I said - it took 3 to 6 months for me with one of mine. Good luck.
