...and he prescribed 50mg sertraline and 7.5mg Zimovane. I have no idea how I'll react to this combination of meds but am going to go into this with as open a mind as possible. The last time I was on ADs was when I had PND with my daughter. I took a low-level dose of prozac for a short spell and came off them cold-turkey with no adverse affects. But that was years ago.

Has anyone else had this combination? Or experience of these meds singly? I have to go back to my GP for a review in a few weeks time.

I take 150mg of Sertraline, and it helps me some. I started at 50mg, and that didn't help, so my pdoc slowly increased it (over several months) until I got to a dose that is helpful to me. I had some stomach issues for about the first week that I took it but then they went away and I haven't had any side effects since. I haven't taken the other med you listed. Hope these meds help you.

Well it's only day one and the 50mg has made me feel really spacey. My muscles feel weak and jelly-like. No like the feeling. And I was horribly grumpy and shouty too this morning. But this has now worn off. Not sure if it's the sertraline or just my usual charming full-of-sweetness-and-light self

The zimovane is a sleep med. Starting that tonight as I wasn't sure if the sertraline would make me sleepy anyway.

I'm just in from a walk in the forest. The sun was shining all afternoon but it wasn't too hot. I guess we walked about 3 miles. And I enjoyed myself which was lovely.

Felt spacey for most of the day and got a headache mid-afternoon. The silver-lining was a mild loss of appetite at dinner time in the pub so I picked a healthy option rather than a stodgy one. So that's good. I DID have a glass of wine (it was Mum's birthday) and the sleep meds say not to have alcohol on the packet. But I only had one glass with my meal so I'm sure I'll be okay tonight.....

Walk in the forest, sounds lovely - love walking in the woodlands, with sun shining through the tree's - a little touch of heaven! Sounds like you've done well on day 1 of new meds - you may find the Zimovane knocks you out, prob best to avoid the alcohol whilst your body adjusts. Let us know how you are tomorrow?

The Zimovane DID knock me out. 11:30pm to 7am -- and only then because I had to get up to go to the loo. I even went back to bed again after that! Amazing! First proper night's sleep in bloody ages.

Still bit spacey today but less so. So all seems good so far!
