I use it for sleep too. It works really well and relaxes you enough so that you can fall asleep. No side effects on my end either.

Good luck with it.

Trazodone worked like a charm for me the first time (no side effects, slept really well) and didn't work an iota the second time. Good luck.

Trazadone was quite effective for me. I was taking an antidepressant, which was keeping me up at night, so I'd take the Traz to knock myself out.

I was quite productive during the time I was combining the meds, but the doctor was concerned that I might develop an addiction to the sleep med and discontinued prescribing it for me.

Thanks everyone. I will note all of your experiences and see how I do in comparison.

Faye,

Thats the general thought too, That my effexor may be throwing me into a hypomanic state.

So hopefully this will do er. I was taking clonazepam AND ativan, but honestly I dont like taking the clonaze for sleep too, because then I dont have anything that works for anxiety attacks because i build up a tolerance. My doctor is the same with the addiction thing to and thinks I can always "make do" with 30 every few months. While I dont take it when I dont need to, every so often I NEED to take it on a regular basis to "reset" myself, I guess you could say.

I take Trazadone and just got it upped. I found that at first if I didn't go to bed when I first felt sleepy I was on drugs or something. I felt like I had a hangover just getting up off the couch..

good to hear it has worked for people.

I am a little nervous because I do get PVC's and tachycardia, and this says sometimes it can trigger that though rarely. I think just in case I will have cory stay with me that night in case I have to go to the hospital if it starts up.
