Over the years I've been on so many medications. Majority of them caused horrible side effects. Side effects that not only deterred my quality of life, some also put a strain on my marriage as well.

You can imagine the joy I felt when I began Lithium. My mania was under control. My mood had evened out. No sexual side effects. No increased appetite. Everything was good. I felt like I found exactly what i needed.

Until this morning. My vision is blurry today, off balanced, feel a tad dizzy, headache, and my eyes literally hurt.

Back to square one. I don't know how much more of this process I can endure. Med after med... I've taken so many medications int he past 7 years... Just when I thought I found something.. *POOF*

Is it possible your symptoms are due to something else? Sounds a bit like a sinus infection or really severe congestion that might be messing with your equalibrium.

Hi Chris,
No. They didn't begin until I began the increased Lithium dose. Haven't had any congestion, cold, or allergy issues. The blurred vision, feeling dizzy, and headaches is one of the rare side effects of Lithium. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who respond this way. My Dr. called and told me to just stop taking it. SMH Not looking forward to being back a square 1. This has gotten old.

I also had these "rare" side effects from lithium. I was taking 1200mg per day. I couldn't stand up without feeling dizzy. I had headaches that were also debilitating. I'm not sensitive to most meds. I can take most meds without a problem, but Lithium was a bad one for me too.
