I have already posted about it on Bipolar but want to reach a wider audience. I am starting Topamax next week and want to know what people's experiences have been, especially in regards to weight loss.

Topamax is one that I was taking along with 2 or 3 others that nearly killed me. I lost over 70 pounds in 3 months, lost the ability to eat or drink without being sick, and ended up in the hospital on IV fluid for a week.
I had been admitted to an eating disorder program because my t and pdoc thought i was anorexic, though i never was. |

That is definitely way too drastic for me. I am hoping to lose 35 lbs over the course of a year or so.

I was average weight when I started it, 5'6, 130 and lost 10 pound in the 2 months that I was on it. However, I am not sure if it was the med or the depression that caused the weight loss. Best of luck to you.

It altered the taste of food and drink. Within a month I lost 10 pounds and got deathly sick. Between the welbutrin and topamax I developed an eating disorder.

Have you tried WB alone, without Topamax?
