I am currently taking 240mg cymbalta and 900 mg neurontin daily. Any feedback? I have seen all kinds of horror stories about side efffects & withdrawals. Also am getting scared about long-term use. I ended up here because I was so uptight I was ready to jump out of my own skin, also could not even pee even with a full bladder. The domestic stress is alleviated now so I'd like to think about cutting back. Also am upset about the bruising that occurs from anything I've been on the meds for about 4 yrs now. I also lead an active life and want to resume horseback riding - I'm sure this would result in one body-wide bruise at the current levels. Help!

Are you planning to taper off these meds? Cymbalta I can not take. I do take Neurontin for my Fibromyalgia pain.. But I good off and on that one alot , I personally has has no sideeffects.

Your just having random bruising ? I havent heard that side effect from meds , Definetly talk to you doctor .

Always contact your doctor if you are considering about the long term effects or current issues.

I am of the understanding that the max dose of Cymbalta is 120mgs. That is what I am on. Anything higher than that doesn't seem to be effective. 240mgs seems incredibly high unless you are a very large person, but then that still seems high. I have been on this dose of Cymbalta for a couple of years now and am just now thinking about asking my pdoc if we can lower it and see what happens. I have never been on neurontin so I cannot comment on that. Whatever you decide to do, please do it under your dr's watchful eye.
