I restarted lamictal beginning of this month. I just recently moved up to 50mgs (Mon) and I am clenching my jaw really bad during the day. Is this normal side effect and will go away?

It's probably from the awful taste of it! Just kidding, but I'm on 200 mg of Lamictal and I've never had that problem. If its bothersome, I would just talk to your psychiatrist. Side effects stink, huh?

If the side effects outweigh the benefits,
thats when I know it's time for a change.

I wish you luck.

Oh man, that stuff does taste awful, doesn't it. I haven't had that side effect on lamictal, but I have had the lock jaw problem on another drug. I found myself with my jaw clenched so tight at night that I was afraid I was going to damage my teeth and started wearing a guard for my teeth as I slept. Eventually stopped that drug. Not sure if it can be a side effect of lamictal or not. Definitely can be a problem with some medications but also can be a sign of anxiety. Bring it up with your p-doc for sure. Hope you can figure it out soon. ++
