Anyone here taking it? I just started it. Like everything else it has no effect. I'm a month in.

Is anyone else here treatment resistant?

I've been on for around a year and a half (I started it the first day they got the samples in at pdoc's office).

It has never worked alone. I started out with viibryd and lamictal. Now, I am on viibryd and wellbutrin.

I am VERY treatment resistant. 35+ meds and combinations of meds in 6.5 years. Quit some because of side effects. Some worked for a while and quit, and some just never worked or made it worse

I never tried that particular med.

I thought I was treatment resistant until we figured out I am actually bipolar II rather than just regular unipolar depression. When I started using meds like Abilify and lithium (instead of the usual prozac, lexapro, effexor, etc.) my depression was greatly improved. Have you tried any of those meds?

I'm sorry you are going through this. I was deeply depressed for almost 4 years before we hit on the right meds.

Best,
EJ

my mother is on viibryd but after she reached the maximum does she developed severe dhiarhea , temors of her hands and seeing double vision.. I don't like the side effects she has and told her she needs to go off it. I refuse to ever take that stuff. I would try Abilify first.

I have been diagnosed with treatment resistant depression also (along with other things).
I took viibryd for about 6 months. It didn't do much for my depression. It made me incredibly sleepy so I stopped. I'm back on cymbalta.

Just missed two days and now my head is doing the "Twilight Zone" thing. God, I hate that.

At least there are none of those electric shocks.

I start the 20 MG pills tomorrow. So far I haven't really had any side effects from the 10 MG, so let's hope it stays that way. I am having some fairly annoying rebound anxiety now that I'm off the Zoloft. I'm hoping the increase in Viibryd may help.

I've been on 20 mg for awhile. It's helped but the hunger it causes is so bad that I started taking it at night. It has a 28 hr half life so it should be fine. I've tried tier-ing off of it but that's just awful. It's the only anti-depressant that has not cause mania for me.

I'm glad something is working for you. It is so hard to find the right meds/combos to battle our problems.
