What's the best way to come off of adderall xr 30 mg I have been taking it three years and can't stand not being able to function without it I sleep all the time when I'm not taking it so I have to I have a 3 year old and can't just sleep what supplements can I take for energy and to get rid of this apathy I'm already on an antidepressant cymbalta 60 mg help! I also can't work without it

Have you talked to your doctor about it? Also, pharmacists can give guidance about how to wean off of drugs......

Vitamin B+ will give you some energy. So will an alarm clock. I drink like six cups of coffee in the morning. This may not be the right thing for you. I agree with Payne1.
You should consult your doctor about coming off Adderall. Maybe the doctor can give you something that is not so strong.

I'm wondering why you want to stop taking it when it is so helpful to you?

My experience with stimulants is that you can stop them cold turkey. You don't need to taper them off, like SSRIs. Yes, you will feel less energetic and less focused (if you have ADHD), but it sounds like you do want to stop the Adderall, so that's how it's going to be. You can work on other ways to keep your focus, such as through behavioral training. But it's hard work and can be discouraging to need to use all these behavioral methods when you are used to functioning just fine with a pill. There are some Ts who work with behavioral training for people with ADHD, so this might be an option if you can't go it alone. As for the energy, you may need to sleep more to get enough rest and prevent daytime nodding off. Eat well. Exercise. Drink coffee. Stay hydrated. Take naps while your child does.

Slowly wein yourself off of it. If you stop cold turkey, you're more than likely gonna feel like you haven't slept for days and just eh.
Little by little lower your dosage. Example : if you're on 30 mg, take 25, then 20, 15, etc.
(I take the non xr, so I could split mine in half / quarters if I needed to)
